The Bruins announced that Terry O’Reilly would miss the remainder of the season after having two surgical procedures on his left knee.

There was no word as to whether O’Reilly hopped out of bed and tangled with the surgeon after learning that his season was over.

O’Reilly’s season ended as it began – with pure frustration. He had bumped referee Andy Van Hellemond during the playoffs that spring and served his 10-game suspension to open the season.
