Further evidence that pitching a no-hitter does not signify pitching greatness:

Red Sox minor league hurler Dave Vineyard tossed a no-hitter for the Toronto (baseball) Maple Leafs over the Rochester Red Wings – for whom Vineyard threw a no-hitter in 1966.

The Maple Leafs won, 2-1, with the Red Wings unearned run courtesy of a walk, an error and a fielder’s choice ground ball.

Vineyard’s taste of big-league living came in 1964 for the Orioles, with 19 appearances.
