This is for everyone who thinks of Scott Zolak as a talk-show yapper and Patriots postgame analyst.

He didn’t play much in eight years with the Patriots and one with the Dolphins. His career stats: 124 receptions on 248 passes, 1,314 yards, eight touchdowns, seven interceptions, a QB rating of 64.8.

But the game ball was his one day after he stopped a nine-game Pats losing streak, leading them to a 37-34 overtime win, their first of the season.

Zolak, playing for the injured Hugh Millen, was 20-for-29, good for 261 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.

A 24-yard pass to Jon Vaughn set up the decisive 18-yard field goal by Charlie Baumann.

And you thought the guy was just a radio yapmeister.
