Adam Vinatieri added a nugget to his ever-expanding clutch-kicker resume with a 35-yard field goal in overtime to down the Kansas City Chiefs, 41-38. Clearly, the defending Super Bowl champs had not yet cobbled together the elite defense that would win them back-to-back championships in 2003-2004.

The interception doesn’t count for much. When throwing the ball 54 times an interception may mar the stats.
