April 23, 1957 Stumbled upon this tidbit in the Boston Globe. An interesting tale as some Red Sox are vowing to stay within the borders rather than get a vaccination and play in Toronto. A gentleman named Claude Rand and his son flew to Boston from Switzerland to take in Red Sox-Yankees games Saturday and Sunday, April 16-17. Originally from Watertown, Mass., the TWA executive and his 10-year-old son flew back to Switzerland that Monday morning.
